Pay off

The machine is supplied together with a de-reeler with adjustable height, which is fitted with a wire bundle/coil holding plate and an adjustable mechanical brake.
This plate can be positioned at choice, in order to let the wire be uncoiled both along the vertical and horizontal axis.

Operator Interface Terminal

A programming terminal equipped with a 5.7” touch screen display allows for simple and complete setting of the fundamental straightening parameters, such as:

- Rotation speed of frames 1 and 2
- Direction of rotation of frames 1 and 2
- Straightening speed (m/min)
- Length of sections (mm)

Within the same production, subsequent batches with different lengths can be programmed (e.g., Batch1: 1000 pcs with L= 300 mm; Batch2: 500 pcs with L= 500 mm).

The software enables a quick and effective diagnosis of the machine's general conditions and to monitor the production progress on screen.

Straightening Unit

Before being straightened, the wire coming from the spool can be wrapped around a pulley equipped with an electronically controlled magnetic brake. This device is used to ensure a constant tension of the wire entering the straightening unit.

The straightening operation is carried out through two counter-rotating frames, each equipped with 5 lapped hard metal straightening bushings.

To cover the range of wire diameters from 0.1 to 1.0 mm, the APR1000 machine can be equipped with three pairs of frames for different sizes:

- TYPE P (small) - For wire from Ø 0.1 to Ø 0.3 mm
- TYPE M (medium) - For wire from Ø 0.3 to Ø 0.6 mm
- TYPE G (large) - For wire from Ø 0.6 to Ø 1.0 mm

Traction Module

The wire is pulled out from the straightening unit through a system with a flat belt tractor, which avoids any deformation of the straightened wire.

High-precision Cut-off Unit

The machine is equipped with a special cutting unit with opposing bushings and an Hard Metal insert, controlled by a brushless motor that performs the cutting extremely quickly and quietly, ensuring excellent cutting quality and a maximum number of 1000 cuts per minute.

The precision on the length of the wire sections, equal to +/- 0.1 mm, is guaranteed by the length detection system integrated into the second traction group, located near the cutting unit.

Wire Guide and Collecting Basin

Until cut-off, the straightened length remains inside the Pneumatically-Operated Wire Guide. After cut-off, the guide provides for wire unloading into the relevant container. The standard machine version is equipped with a wire guide and relevant collecting basin for 1000 mm maximum cut-off length.
